VSee and QuickBlox Q-Consultation are both HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms that support branded virtual care, waiting rooms, patient intake, clinical documentation, and a signed BAA. The principal difference is how each platform approaches brand ownership, clinical infrastructure, AI, and deployment.
Q-Consultation provides complete white-label control, including a custom domain and fully branded patient experience, as a core part of the platform. VSee introduces branding progressively across its paid plans: logo and color customization begin with Premium, while a branded mobile app requires Enterprise. Whether VSee supports a fully independent web domain at Enterprise is not confirmed on its public pricing page.
The trade-off extends beyond branding. VSee offers greater breadth in areas such as named EHR integrations, remote patient monitoring, medical device support, and federal deployment. Q-Consultation combines white-label ownership with AI-assisted workflows across the patient encounter and three deployment options: QuickBlox-managed cloud, the organization’s own cloud account, or on-premises infrastructure.
In simple terms, VSee is a strong fit when established clinical integrations or federal credentials are the priority. Q-Consultation is better suited to organizations prioritizing complete brand ownership, AI-assisted workflows, and control over where the platform is deployed.

On Q-Consultation, every patient-facing surface—including the URL, logo, colors, SMS notifications, login screen, and waiting room—carries the deploying organization’s identity. A digital health company selling its own virtual care product or a health system launching a named service does not have to retain a QuickBlox subdomain or expose the QuickBlox brand anywhere in the patient journey.
VSee introduces branding progressively across its plans. Free and Plus retain VSee in the URL, with Plus providing a custom subdomain in the format yourclinic.vsee.me. Logo and color customization begin with Premium, priced at $49 per provider per month, while a branded mobile app requires Enterprise.
VSee also advertises more than 250 no-code configuration options, giving organizations considerable control over clinical workflows. However, its public pricing information does not confirm whether the Enterprise web interface can operate on an independent customer domain rather than a VSee-controlled one. Organizations for which this is a requirement should confirm it directly with VSee.
What this means in practice: Q-Consultation is the clearer fit when complete vendor invisibility and an independent domain are requirements from the outset. VSee may suit organizations that are comfortable retaining a VSee-controlled domain in exchange for extensive workflow configuration and access to its broader clinical modules.
VSee and Q-Consultation differ not simply in how many clinical features they offer, but in where each platform concentrates its capabilities. VSee extends across a broader range of healthcare operations, while Q-Consultation focuses more deeply on the consultation journey and the workflows immediately surrounding it.
One of the clearest differences is EHR integration. Q-Consultation connects with EHR systems through APIs and webhooks, with integration support available from the QuickBlox development team. VSee publishes named, standards-based integrations with Epic, Oracle Health, NextGen, PointClickCare, and Athenahealth using HL7 and FHIR. For organizations already using one of these systems, VSee offers a more established integration path; Q-Consultation provides a configurable approach that can be adapted to the organization’s requirements.
VSee’s broader clinical footprint also includes medical device integration and remote patient monitoring. It can incorporate data from devices such as digital stethoscopes, otoscopes, ultrasounds, X-rays, and surgical fluoroscopes into virtual consultations. Its separate RPM product supports connected devices including Fitbit devices, digital scales, and biosensors. Q-Consultation does not currently offer native medical device integration or a remote patient monitoring product.
At Enterprise level, VSee also supports operational capabilities such as insurance eligibility checks, claims submission, state licensing rules, and call-center dispatch. Q-Consultation’s strength sits closer to the center of the encounter itself: AI-assisted intake and triage, branded waiting rooms and queue management, video and chat consultations, self-service scheduling, document handling, clinical notes, and ICD-10/CPT suggestions.
What this means in practice: VSee provides greater breadth across the wider clinical and operational environment. Q-Consultation provides greater depth around the consultation journey, combining communication, patient flow, and AI-assisted workflows within a branded platform.
Q-Consultation currently incorporates AI across more of the clinical encounter, while VSee’s publicly documented AI capabilities remain focused primarily on clinical documentation.
Q-Consultation incorporates AI in two ways. Built-in features such as transcription and Answer Assist support clinicians during the consultation. Organizations can also use the AI Agent Builder to create automated workflows for patient intake, symptom collection, triage, routing, appointment questions, and knowledge-based assistance.
AI support can continue throughout the encounter with SOAP note generation, ICD-10 and CPT code suggestions, and consultation summaries. This allows organizations to decide where AI should assist clinicians and where automated agents should manage defined patient-facing workflows.
QuickBlox’s BAA covers the AI processing chain, including third-party AI providers handling protected health information.
VSee currently offers AI-generated SOAP notes on its Enterprise plan. Notes can be generated during the consultation and reviewed, edited, and signed by the clinician. Its Premium plan includes standard EMR note templates without AI generation.
VSee also announced an AI Workflow Engine at HIMSS 2026, designed to connect health systems with more than 100 clinical AI tools. Its current availability, pricing, and scope should be confirmed directly with VSee.
What this means in practice: Q-Consultation applies AI across a broader portion of the patient journey, combining built-in clinician assistance with configurable patient-facing automation. VSee’s publicly documented AI is currently concentrated on Enterprise clinical documentation, although its announced Workflow Engine suggests that its AI offering may expand.
Both platforms support HIPAA-compliant deployments and provide a signed BAA. QuickBlox is SOC 2 Type 2 certified, while VSee confirms SOC 2 certification but does not publicly specify whether it is Type I or Type II. The principal differences are VSee’s federal authorization and QuickBlox’s greater infrastructure flexibility.
VSee received a FedRAMP High Authority to Operate from HHS in October 2025. This gives it a clear advantage for federal and government healthcare deployments where FedRAMP High is a procurement requirement. Q-Consultation does not currently hold an equivalent federal authorization.
Q-Consultation supports encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging, role-based access controls, two-factor authentication, and automatic logoff. Its BAA also covers the AI processing chain. Organizations can choose a QuickBlox-managed cloud deployment, their own cloud account, or on-premises infrastructure. Customer-owned cloud and on-premises deployments can also support EU data-residency requirements.
VSee supports deployments on AWS, Azure, and Oracle GovCloud. However, standard on-premises deployment is not confirmed on its public pages, so organizations requiring infrastructure under their direct physical control should verify this with VSee.
What this means in practice: VSee has the stronger position for federal healthcare procurement, while Q-Consultation offers greater control over where the platform and its data are hosted.
Both platforms provide ways to extend beyond their prebuilt telehealth products, which matters for organizations expecting their patient experience or clinical workflows to evolve.
Q-Consultation is built on the same QuickBlox Chat and Video APIs and SDKs that developers can access separately. Teams that need communication infrastructure without the prebuilt Q-Consultation interface can use these tools to develop their own video, messaging, and AI-assisted workflows. Organizations using Q-Consultation can also extend the platform with new patient access channels, internal system integrations, or workflows specific to their clinical operations.
QuickBlox offers a free sandbox plan for evaluating its communication SDKs and AI Agent Builder, supporting up to 500 users without a credit card. This plan does not include Q-Consultation or HIPAA-enabled infrastructure.
VSee offers three development paths: a no-code embed with SSO, an API for building custom patient portals and clinical interfaces with device and data integration, and a development service through which VSee engineers undertake customization for organizations without an internal development team. VSee’s public product pages do not clearly enumerate supported SDK languages or frameworks, so development teams should verify the available technical coverage through VSee’s developer documentation.
What this means in practice: QuickBlox provides a more clearly documented SDK and API ecosystem for teams that want to build and extend the communication layer themselves. VSee combines its developer API with no-code embedding and vendor-provided development services, which may suit organizations seeking more implementation support.
The pricing models reflect the different kinds of buyers and deployments each platform is designed for.
Q-Consultation
Q-Consultation does not publish pricing. Deployments are quoted individually based on factors such as usage, configuration, infrastructure, and customization. A managed cloud deployment for a clinic and an on-premises implementation for a health system are fundamentally different engagements. The process begins with a demo, and buyers should include that sales conversation in their evaluation timeline.
VSee
VSee publishes per-provider pricing across its standard plans. Its Free and Plus plans are designed for individual providers, while Premium supports larger practices and introduces logo and color branding, shared scheduling, and additional workflow configuration. Enterprise pricing is customized and includes capabilities such as a branded mobile app, AI-generated SOAP notes, remote patient monitoring, device integration, and SSO/MFA.

Because VSee is publicly traded, its financial position is available through SEC filings. Its March 2026 quarterly filing states that liquidity conditions and historical operating losses raise substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. Organizations considering a long-term VSee deployment should review the latest filings as part of their standard vendor-risk assessment.
Choose VSee if your organization requires FedRAMP High authorization, prefers established integration paths for EHRs such as Epic or Oracle Health, or needs medical device integration and remote patient monitoring. Its published per-provider pricing and free plan with a signed BAA also make it accessible to solo providers and smaller practices that want to begin delivering virtual care without a sales process.
Choose Q-Consultation if your organization is looking for a VSee alternative that provides complete control over the patient experience, including its own domain. It is also the stronger fit when priorities include AI-assisted workflows across the consultation journey, customer-owned cloud or on-premises deployment, and an SDK and API foundation that can be extended as the product evolves.
The choice ultimately comes down to where each platform concentrates its strengths. VSee offers greater breadth across clinical integrations, connected devices, remote monitoring, and federal deployment. Q-Consultation provides greater depth around the branded consultation journey, combining communication, patient flow, AI-assisted workflows, and infrastructure control within one extensible platform.
